About this little journal
A calm place to learn about your skin, written by someone who does this for a living and would rather explain than upsell.
Beverly Hills area · roughly a decade in the treatment room
Hello, I am Priya. I have spent about ten years working hands-on with skin, first in a busy day spa and later in a small studio practice in the Beverly Hills area. I have cleansed, peeled, needled, and soothed a lot of faces, and along the way I lost patience with how much noise surrounds this industry. There is so much fear, so much upselling, and so many ten-step routines that leave people more confused than when they started.
I started writing here for a simple reason. The advice I give clients across the treatment table is calmer and more practical than most of what they find online, and I wanted a place to put it where it might help someone I will never meet. Everything on this site is the same thing I would tell you if you were lying back under my lamp with a cool towel on your shoulders.
My whole approach comes down to a few beliefs. Consistency beats intensity. Sunscreen is the best money you will ever spend on your face. Most skin needs less than the internet insists, not more. And a good treatment should leave you calmer, not anxious about the next thing you are supposed to buy.
I write about the treatments I know well, facials, chemical peels, microneedling, and light therapy, because those are the ones I have performed thousands of times. When I mention a clinic or a service, it is because I genuinely think it is a sensible option, not because anyone is paying for a placement. When something is outside my lane, I will tell you to see a dermatologist or a physician, because knowing the edges of your expertise is part of doing this honestly.
This is a personal journal, not a medical resource. Nothing here replaces a real consultation with a licensed provider who can look at your actual skin. Think of it as the friendly, unhurried version of the chat you wish you had time for at every appointment. Thank you for reading, and take good care of yourself.
